Day 30: Journal Volume l -Take Time, before Time’s Up
📕Together RecoveryJournals.org creates "Our Story" a page a day.
Start journaling the unique book series that makes you a co-author and promotes better thinking by you writing the other half.
Hang out with us as we show the recovery life mixing in today’s world in a variety of ways with supportive social media and our website.
Today’s RJL meditation is about becoming mentally aware of our spiritual side and letting that spirit drive our day –no matter how busy it is outside. It is okay to be busy with a full plate. The balance comes in -when we learn to be serene inside and go with the flow outside of us. Effectively.
In recovery, we practice stopping our day for an hour or so to take care of ourselves either by attending a recovery meeting, a support group, or just hanging out with a couple of friends for silly-time. This behavior teaches us to interrupt our day no matter how busy we are and it teaches us to communicate with others on a deeper level. We learn to practice this at other times throughout our day as well.
As I start my day now I am reminded to center myself in recovery behaviors because recovery helps me to spiritually enjoy my life whether it is busy or not. I will attend a recovery meeting and hangout for some silly-time, to check what time it really is! If you want to -you can do the same.

Homework: Think about what the words silly-time and spiritual stuff might have to do with each other.
